Botox (anti-wrinkle injections)

Smooths expression lines by gently relaxing the muscles that cause them.

How it works

Botox is a purified protein (botulinum toxin type A) injected in tiny amounts into specific facial muscles. It temporarily reduces the nerve signals that make those muscles contract. When the muscle relaxes, the skin above it smooths out, and new lines are less likely to form.

Commonly treated areas

  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines (the "11s" between the brows)
  • Crow's feet around the eyes
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Lip flip, for a softer upper-lip curl
  • Jaw (masseter) slimming and teeth grinding
  • Excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis)

What to expect

After your consultation, the area is cleansed and marked. A few quick injections are made with a very fine needle, which most people describe as a small pinch. You can return to most normal activities straight away.

You'll start to see results within 3–5 days, with the full effect at around two weeks. We'll book a review at that point to check your results.

Aftercare

  • Stay upright for 4 hours, and don't lie flat or bend over for long
  • Don't rub, massage or press on the treated areas for 24 hours
  • Skip strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Gently move the treated muscles, for example by frowning or raising your brows, during the first few hours

Possible side effects

Side effects are usually mild and short-lived. They can include redness, small bumps or bruising at the injection sites, and occasionally a mild headache. Rarer effects, such as a temporarily drooping brow or eyelid, will be discussed with you at your consultation.

Dermal fillers

Restore volume, enhance definition and soften deeper lines with hyaluronic acid.

How it works

Our fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally in your skin and keeps it plump and hydrated. The gel is placed under the skin to replace lost volume, support structure or add shape. Your body breaks it down gradually over time.

A major benefit of HA fillers is that they can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.

Commonly treated areas

  • Lips: volume, shape and hydration
  • Cheeks: lift and contour
  • Jawline and chin: definition and balance
  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines
  • Under-eye hollows (tear troughs), for suitable candidates

What to expect

Most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, and numbing cream can be applied first for extra comfort. The filler is placed carefully with a fine needle or a blunt cannula. You'll see a difference straight away, and the result settles over about two weeks as swelling goes down.

Aftercare

  • Don't touch, press or massage the area unless we advise you to
  • Skip makeup on the treated area for 12 hours
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and heat (saunas, hot yoga) for 24–48 hours
  • Sleep with your head slightly raised the first night to help with swelling
  • Allow two weeks before any dental work or vaccinations if possible

Possible side effects

Swelling, tenderness and bruising are common and usually settle within a few days. Lips tend to swell the most. Serious complications are rare but possible, which is why fillers should only be done by a trained medical professional who knows facial anatomy and can manage complications. We'll go through all of this at your consultation.

Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy that encourages your skin to repair and renew itself.

How it works

A medical-grade device makes thousands of tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. This triggers the skin's natural healing response, which boosts collagen and elastin production. Over the following weeks the skin becomes firmer and smoother, with a more even texture. The channels also help serums absorb more deeply.

What it can help with

  • Uneven texture and enlarged pores
  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing
  • Acne scarring
  • Dullness and uneven tone
  • Stretch marks

What to expect

Numbing cream is applied first, then the device is passed over the skin. Afterwards your skin will look flushed, a bit like mild sunburn, for 1–3 days. The best results come from a course of treatments, usually 3–6 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, and improvement keeps building for several months.

Aftercare

  • Skip makeup for 24 hours
  • Use gentle cleansers and hydrating products only for a few days
  • Avoid retinoids, acids and exfoliants for about a week
  • Wear a high-SPF sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun

Chemical peels

Exfoliate away dullness and reveal brighter, more even skin.

How it works

A professional peel applies a carefully chosen solution, such as glycolic, lactic, salicylic or mandelic acid, to loosen and remove the outer layers of dead skin cells. This speeds up cell turnover and reveals fresher skin underneath. Peels come in different strengths, and we'll recommend the right one for your skin type and goals.

What it can help with

  • Dull, tired-looking skin
  • Pigmentation and sun damage
  • Congestion and breakouts
  • Fine lines and rough texture

What to expect

You may feel tingling or warmth for a few minutes while the peel is on. Depending on the strength, you might have no visible peeling at all, or light flaking for a few days. A course of treatments usually gives the best results.

Skin boosters

Deep hydration from within for a healthy, natural glow.

How it works

Skin boosters are injectable treatments that place a fine hyaluronic acid gel, which is softer than a filler, into the skin. Rather than adding volume or changing shape, they improve skin quality: hydration, elasticity, firmness and radiance.

What it can help with

  • Dehydrated or crepey skin
  • Loss of glow and elasticity
  • Fine lines on the face, neck and décolletage

What to expect

A typical course is 2–3 sessions spaced about four weeks apart. You might see small bumps at the injection points for a day or two. Results build gradually and are often maintained with top-up sessions.
